After we numb the gums and jaw with an anesthesia, we place the TAD through the gum and into the jaw. It is a quick procedure and may be over before you know it.
You may feel pressure when the TAD is placed, but you won’t feel it after a day or so. Once you no longer need the treatment, we will remove the TAD. This is a quick procedure that will take only a few minutes.
You can take Tylenol® if you have any pain or discomfort after you getting your TAD. If the pain continues for a few days, you should contact us as soon as possible.
You will need to keep your TAD clean. You will need to brush your teeth after every meal. You should also use an antimicrobial mouthwash to help keep it clean.
If you have any questions about TADs, don’t hesitate to contact us today at (915) 500-5602.
